My site has had a attack from a virus and damaged quite a lot of files and I need to reinstall everything including EE I think. The calendar is down and also ordering tickets is down, that is all I’ve spotted so far.
If i deactivate EE remove and reinstall will I lose all the data of customer registrations and transaction info?
How do I back this info up and export reports for accounts and technical issues like this anyway?

No. The data is not stored with the plugin files.

You can make a backup of the the database by any of a number of different plugins including WPBackitup, WP db backup, VaultPress. There’s also some documentation in the Event Espresso wiki that shows another way that you can backup your data:
