Hi, We have recently learned that the blue button that appears after purchasing, “View Full Order Confirmation Receipt” is now working. Customers go this message: Clicking the button leads to a blank page. Suggestions to fix? |
Hi, You can go to Event Espresso > Messages > Default Message Templates and make sure the Receipt template has content (instead of being blank). If the receipt template looks good, can you share a link to an example of a Receipt? |
Hi, Hmm, it appears to be blank. Not sure how that happened. We shall update it! Thank you, |
If you need something to start with (instead of a blank slate) you can hit the reset button in the Reciept’s template editor which will restore the Receipt template to its default settings from when EE was first activated. |

Hi Josh. I see that button option under “Extra Actions” but does it reset ALL of the templates? Or just the Receipt template? The button says “Reset Templates” |
It resets the current message type, so if you are editing the Receipt template, that’s what it resets. The reason it currently says templates is in the case of say the ‘Registration Approved’ message type, where there is multiple ‘contexts’ to that message type (Event Admin, Primary Registrant, Registrant), clicking that button resets ALL of those contexts back to default for that message type. The Receipt and Invoice message types only have one context, the Purchaser, so clicking reset resets the single template you are editing in that case. |
It resets only the templates that fall into the category of “Receipt”. In this case, all one of them since there’s only one context for “Receipt”. Normally the other message types (like Registration Approved email) will have multiple contexts (like Registrant, Event admin, and so on). The reset button will affect all contexts within the message type. |

Got it! Thanks guys. I think we can take it from here. |
