Hello,

Thanks for your help. I just upgraded to E4 – I have not yet installed it as I currently have E3 running on my site. I may want to wait to instal E4 until I’m ready to create new events. Can I use both at the same time? My E3 stopped working which is why I upgraded. I use a WordPress site and I can’t get my “First Data EE4 global gateway” payment page to work as it was before. I keep getting an error that says reinstall the ATOS part of E3. Can you assist me with these issues, please

Hi,

The two versions cannot be used on the same site at the same time. What you could do is deactivate EE3, then migrate your EE3 events to EE4. Then set up the First Data Payeezy gateway for EE4.

Thanks that sounds like a good idea. So my ongoing active events will be migrated? So i will be able to see particpants that have already enrolled in upcoming events…..and new participants will be able to register?

Yes. The EE3 to EE4 migration will migrate all events & registrations into EE4 so you can continue to manage your active events with EE4.

Yes to both.

Thanks very much – thats good news! I hope I can successfully do the migration on my own. I purchased a support token possibly they can assist in doing that process – as my payment page seems to working on payeezy global gateway…but for some reason I couldn’t get it to communicate with E3….am hoping it will work seamlessly on the new E4

It is possible I couldn’t get the relay link set correctly….
but this link on their site was not helpful

Since I upgraded to E4 will my E3 stop working? I don’t plan to update for a few days when I can get a block of time….hoping my current plug in and events can still allow registrations in the mean time…until i start the process?

Your EE4 account on EE.com has no affect on your software on your site. So you can continue using EE3 until you’re ready to do the migration to EE4.

With regards to First Data E4 & your site’s payment page, you may need to log into your First Data Payeezy account and add the Relay Response URL. Here’s the information for adding the relay response url:

https://support.payeezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/204504045-Where-do-I-enter-my-Relay-Response-URL-

and I’ll add a private reply with the information from your site about the URL.

That is very helpful thank you VERY much – the only step I had missed was updating the accessibility ? Is that in the plugin back on my website? Or on the same global gateway payment page setting?

To send a request to add the URL to the Payeezy Gateway firewall, click the “Update Accessibility” link. A message will be immediately sent to our network staff who will update the firewall within 24 hours of receiving the request. In cases of emergency or “rush” additions please contact Payeezy Gateway Support at 1-855-448-3493.

The Update Accessibility link should be on the same global gateway payment page setting.

This is the error I get – still not working – must be the “accessibility” verify link issue – just can’t find that link or how to “update”

A few ways:

https://snag.gy/

or

1. Take an image screenshot

2. Upload it via Media -> Add New in your WP site’s Dashboard

3. Click on the file in the Media library.

4. Copy the File URL to the right.

5. Reply here with the File URL.

The green checkmark next to the Relay Response URL field means the URL passed security review. If it required review, you’d see a red circle with a minus sign there instead.

Ah I see – is there any other reason my payment gateway won’t work then? We have had it working for several years, now suddenly there is an error. I uninstalled and reinstalled the payeezy gateway on my word press site…. it seems that there is something I’m missing…. thanks for all your help….. for example here is one of my events if you want to do a test registration you can see the error that it does not link to the payment page…http://www.vernonfilleyartmuseum.org/event-registration/?ee=191

The other suspect error I see on my wordpress website dashboard is this:

“The Atos gateway has been removed from Event Espresso core in 3.1.37. Please download and upload the Atos gateway to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways. Please see our documentation for more information. | Hide this message

You can ignore & dismiss the ATOS gateway error because you’re not using the ATOS gateway.

Also, you shouldn’t need a separate Payeezy gateway plugin for Event Espresso 3 because Payeezy is bundled into the EE3 plugin. Maybe the problem is because there’s a separate Payeezy gateway plugin installed and its interfering?

thanks – I uninstalled that plugin and deleted….darn still no luck….any other ideas? thanks for all your help

Maybe these need to be updated – ive tried to update but is it possible to refresh and change that “relay link” it says change it in “organization settings” but I don’t see that option….seems like it needs to be reset

The only options you set with EE3’s First Data E4 gateway are listed here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/payment-settings-ee3/#DataE4

May I ask are you seeing a specific error message when you test a payment with the First Data gateway?

If not we could add some logging, but in order to do so we’ll need the FTP access that wasn’t provided in the redeem a support token form.

here is the error I see https://snag.gy/vzTLCW.jpg

I click on “pay with first data” icon and rather than displaying the full payment page it shows that above…..So I don’t get all the way through to actually enter any payment

x_fp_hash : Could not validate the integrity of the payment from the transaction key, x_fp_hash, x_fp_sequence, x_fp_timestamp, x_amount, and (optionally) x_currency_code and x_fee_amount values of the request.

No you actually leave those settings blank. Those are for developers so they can compare what’s generated on the payment page.

The other screenshot (in the reply with timestamp 1:42pm) shows the encryption type SHA1 is selected. That should be changed to MD5. The other setting, for reCAPTCHA, should be unchecked because I’m not sure the EE3 gateway supports using reCAPTCHA.

Brittany Novotny

May 22, 2019 at 2:11 pm

WONDERFULL! Thank you ! that seems to have fixed it you are fantastic thank you! I left Captcha on …..it seems to be working ….the MD5 switch did the trick thank you very much!

Good to hear. When you do switch to EE4 and when you’re setting up its Payeezy gateway you’ll need to go in to your Payeezy account and switch that last setting back to SHA1 (from MD5). There are a few other extra keys involved too, and those are outlined in the documentation:
