this is urgent as this site was to launch today, so apologies up front for the title I initially set up one event, tested and tweeked until we got it right. tested the payments with paypal pro and regular paypal all worked fine, all notifications worked properly using this event as a template, as all events are basically the same I duplicated the event 2 times and renamed appropriately so now we have 3 events 1) is a full payment all 3 set up and tested ..all working. the above is for 1 ” event” in essence a baseball camp. we then replicated the 3 events 5 more times..as there is 5 camps…so now 15 events. heres the problem the user ( me as I was testing this ) is redirected back from paypal to the “transactions” page where in the EE 3 box displayed the payment says ” incomplete” I checked the IPN settings at paypal ( remember this all worked as intended at one point) and it is set up correctly So the user sees incomplete ..but in fact the payment goes through we recieved the payment amount and my credit card was charged as expected. the credit card ( paypal pro ) works as intended …at least on last test. at one point yesterday even the event overview would show that the payment was incomplete……today …it shows the payment…but the user still sees incomplete. another interesting thing is ..when I receive the payment notification email…and click the ” view payment details ” link…it in fact shows the payment is ” complete ” this link leads to the thankyou page should paypal in the IPN be set to the transactions page ..or the thankyou page https://register.bigleagueexperience.com please go through the registration process and we will refund your 1 dollar ….just make sure in the drop down you select $1 or I will prepay a $5 token …at least I think thats the cost I know confusing….but bottom line is ..this was working…and has now decided not to ..at least not properly we need to launch today !!!…help! |

using the img tag doesnt work |
Hi Steve, There are two URLs that get sent to PayPal: One is the return URL, which is the thank you page in Event Espresso, the other is the notify URL. If it’s sending you back from PayPal to the Transactions page, then it’s likely one of these two pages (or both of them) have incorrect shortcodes and/or are not correctly set in Event Espresso > General Settings > Page settings. Event Espresso handles the rest, but PayPal does require an IPN listener URL in its account settings, which you can input the transactions page url there. Another thing to check is if there’s an auto return url set in the PayPal account. That should not be set as it will interfere with Event Espresso. |
