[URGENT] Latest update causing cascading plug-in errors

After upgrading to the latest version of EE4 4.8.33 I am getting a cascading series of errors.

This is the current error: pen(/tmp/sess_gln1tjvln5qcpg266n9sr57ec4, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php on line 398

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php:398) in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php on line 398

This is urgent as people are unable to register for our events and I have had to disable EE4. There are a variety of complaints from disappearing shopping carts to carts that won’t empty to refusing to process payments….

This is the current error: pen(/tmp/sess_gln1tjvln5qcpg266n9sr57ec4, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13)

That error is not caused by the plugin but your server setup.

I would recommend contacting your host and have them check your site has the correct permissions to create sessions on the server. Event Espresso is trying to create a session but your server won’t allow it.

For security reasons we do not keep previous login details, however currently we do not need access to the site for the reason mentioned above.
