I updated EE and it has disappeared from my dashboard and not working on my website. I would upload a screenshot of my dashboard showing the plug in list but I don’t see a way to do that here. Kim |
Hi Kim, The Event Espresso core plugin is missing from that list, so it may have been deleted at some point. You can go to your account page and download the latest version of Event Espresso 4 core, then install the zip file on your site’s Plugins > Add New page. |
|
Hi Kim, In your list of plugins do you have the ‘Event Espresso’ plugin, like this – http://take.ms/3x9hu The screenshot above shows the EE add-ons, but not EE itself. It sounds like something went wrong when the update was being unpacked on your server and you may need to manually install the latest version. |

Hi Josh and Tony I downloaded the latest EE core file and tried to upload it through the plug ins install screen. |
Can you complete the form on this page so we can investigate further? |

Thanks Josh I’m working on getting you those credentials now. |
Thanks for sending. It looks like what happened was something happened when the new plugin was getting unpacked into the /wp-content/plugins directory. The event-espresso-core-reg was missing more than half of its files. So I removed those, then reinstalled and Event Espresso is up and running now. One important note. Since the site is hosted on GoDaddy managed hosting you will need to deactivate the built in caching before you start taking registrations. It takes a few minutes and involves deleting the object-cache.php file from the wp-content directory. There’s more information here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/#managedwphosting |

Not only are you quick but you’re thorough Josh. I can see my website is back to the way it was before it broke. I’ll do the flush cache following your instructions now. Kim |

Flushed cache under the GoDaddy toolbar and tested. Works perfectly. Thanks again! Kim |
Hi Kim, You’ll also need to delete the object-cache.php file that’s in the wp-content directory to make sure the caching gets deactivated. |

Oh yes I missed that step. I’ve deleted that file now. |
