I have several instances where the transaction is Complete, but the registration is Pending Payment. See the screenshots below:

How can I configure Event Espresso such that once the transaction is complete, the registration is also complete?

Hi,

This isn’t actually something you can configure within Event Espresso, as that should happen under normal circumstances. Usually if the registration status does not get switched there’s an underlying problem with the site due to caching or session issues where the session doesn’t maintain state.

May I ask does the site have any type of caching activated?

I found this on the event page…see screenshot. Is this the reason?Screenshot

The Default Registration Status set to Pending Payment is not the reason the registration shows Pending Payment because normally when the payment is added to the transaction, Event Espresso will automatically change the registration status to Approved.

You could change the Default Registration Status to Approved, the thing to be aware of though is all registrations, regardless of whether they’ve paid or not, will have an “Approved” status.

I seem to have this problem from time to time too. So following.

I don’t have any caching plugins or anything added to the site.

Can you check with the web host to see if the site has any type of server side caching activated?

There is some server-side caching. I am with flywheel. I can enable development mode to disable caching for testing if that will help.

Or if it’s possible to disable caching for the checkout pages only that would work.

Yes, they have done so:

That may help. If there’s a way to exclude any page with a ticket selector that may also help.

Do you mean individual event pages? like: https://capitalwineschool.com/events/wset-level-2-certification-course-23/
How would we exclude all of these?

It should work to add /events/ as a path, but you can confirm that with your host.
