Transactions are not being acknowledged by Event Espresso

Usually when someone signs up to one of our events we get two emails, one via event espresso with all the transaction details and the other via Paypal confirming the transaction. If I look up the individual’s transaction on EE, I also see a ‘Registration ID’, ‘Registration Session’, ‘Registration placed from IP’ and the ‘Registrant User Agent’ field filled in. The entire transaction is marked as Green for approved.

On my latest event, when someone signs up I only receive the payment confirmation details from Paypal. When I look up the individual transaction on EE, the registration status says ‘Pending Payment’ and the only field shown filled in is ‘Registration Session’. The entire transaction is marked as blue.

I have to manually approve the payment, in which case it turns green and all of the fields, ‘Registration ID’, ‘Registration Session’, ‘Registration placed from IP’ and the ‘Registrant User Agent’, suddenly get their values. In this case I still do not receive the email from EE with all transaction details.

Hi Ismail, do you remember if the PayPal IPN was setup for your site?

This has already been done, I have used EE4 for several months, this is the first time this problem has come up.

Hi Ismail,

Is it only happening with this event or does it appear to be sporadic with multiple events? Could you share a link to an event with this problem so we can take a look?
