Hi I am trying to set up a complicated event for Christmas To explain We have three main events – our giant snowglobe, santas grotto, and tea with santa. All have slightly different criteria Snowglobe: This is done on a “book a slot” system. We have 20 half an hour slots through the day. Within each slot we can take 5 groups into the snowglobe I can set this up by have each day as an event for the snowglobe and each half hour slot having 5 tickets available. Santas grotto works very similar except less days, this being only available on the weekend days Our Tea with Santa works very well through your system as we have been running this on Event Espresso before We would also like the opportunity to have multiple bookings as we find families like to book all of this in one go Any advice on this would be appreciated Thanks |
Hi Jonathan, You can use the Event Espresso 4 Calendar add-on to display those events. You’ll set the Tooltips to display and in Event Espresso > Calendar > Advanced Settings you’ll set Display Attendee Limits to Yes. This way guests can view a calendar of events and see which time slots are booked. The Multiple bookings are possible if you have the Multi Event Registration add-on activated. |

Hi Josh Thanks for the reply I am using the following shortcode [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id=your_category_id] and replacing your_category_id with the actualy id. For my example I am using 119 However when I go to the dates I have this category activated it does not appear to display these events Could you advise what could be wrong? Thanks |

Just figured this out by allowing filtered events in the calendar settings |
Hi Jonathan, So it is displaying the events then? |

Just doing some testing on this https://bosworthsgc.co.uk/events/snowglobe-1st-november-2017 How I currently have it set was I think a suggestion from yourself a while back Each date is an event and then there are time slots If I click on a time slot – for example 9:00 to 9:30 it shows that I have 5 available slots but also shows a total of 90 slots over the whole day Just wondering if it is possible to show how many out of 5 instead of how many out of 90 if that makes sense and make this easier to read? I hope that makes sense Thanks |
Hi Jonathan, Those can’t really be changed unless you dig into the PHP code. A simple solution would be to go to Event Espresso > Events > Templates and set Ticket Selector Template Settings > Show Ticket Sale Info? to No. The ticket quantity selector will allow them to no more than what’s currently available for that ticket slot. |
