Hello, we have 3 live events coming up in 2 days’ time and we are still selling tickets on line. 2 out of 3 of our events have passed 550 ticket sales each, the third has sold only around 250.

I can log onto the app fine, and out shows the three events.
However when I then click into session 1&2 (over 550 attendees) I get the pop up message ‘No Registrations 500-internal server error’ and it shows zeros attendees and won’t load any attendees in the widow for those sessions.
When I click on session 3 (around 250 attendees) it works perfectly.

I tested all of this 10 days ago, and everything was fine, and that was when we had around 250 attendees for each session.

Versions: WordPress 3.9.1
Event Espresso Version 3.1.36.4.P
EE – permissions Version 1.5.5.p
EE – ticketing Version Version 2.1.p
EE – API plugin 2.1.1.P

Please can you help us fix it so see can see & scan attendees again, thanks. If you need any more info, just let me know.
Dee

Hi Dee,

Can you please tell me if this is using the iOS or Android app so we can do some testing?

Hi Dee,

Can you please be sure that your app and the Event Espresso software is up to date? The versions you posted earlier have some recent updates.

Along with that, when you go into the iOS app settings you can configure the registration limits. The Espresso JSON API settings will also have limit settings. Each of these can be raised to above 600 to accommodate the larger events.

Tony, I have just upgraded the Event Espresso API Plugin to Version 2.1.2.P. The tests from the iPad produce same results, ‘No Registrations 500-internal server error’ for the first two out of three sessions.

Your help very much appreciated. Thank you

Hello Josh, Very reluctant to upgrade other parts of the event espresso plugin as site is live, well & stable and the Events go will place in 48 hours time. But I have upgraded the API one (please see above).

On both the iOS settings & on the API settings on the server, I have increased the limits to as follows: Attendees 1000 Events 50 Registrations 1000. On the iOS settings, I’ve also increased the JSON API Timeout to 2 minutes (the maximum).

I have 30 minutes priority support remaining on my account, which I’d like to use on this problem so that it’s sorted as soon as possible. Please let me know if you need any userids / passwords to check things out on the server.

Thank you, Dee

Hello Josh Here’s the latest update:

I think I’ve fixed it. Now I’ve increased the wordpress’s memory limit on the server too from 64MB to 94MB. So, now on my iPad, I can see all 3 events & all attendees.

Also, on the iOS settings for the Event Espresso app on the iPad I set the Timeout > 2 minutes.

My colleagues are checking this out as they’re in the field in Europe and I’ll confirm back whether they’re happy too in 8 hours or so.

Thank you for your help & also to Dean for his link to the http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP from this other support call: https://eventespresso.com/topic/paypal-500-internal-server-error/

You’re welcome Dee, and please do let us know how you get on. As an aside, if it doesn’t cause issues you may want to increase the timeout as otherwise people may get fed up logging in constantly.

Dean, increasing the memory limit did do the trick, and all is well now! Thank you guys for all your help.
