Hi, one of the tickets for the event below is shown as sold out, when there’s only one ticket sold: |
Hi there, Can you check to see if there are any trashed registrations for the event? |
Hi, there aren’t any trashed registrations, but some incomplete ones. However, including the incomplete ones would still be below the ticket limit |
We can investigate further if you can complete the form on this secure page: |
Hi, I have completed the form |
OK it’s not sold out anymore. |
Would it be okay if we activated WP_DEBUG_LOG so we can try to capture any errors to show why the ticket reservations aren’t getting released back into the inventory on your site? The logging feature will only write errors to a log file, no errors will be displayed on the website. |
Yes, that’s ok. |
There may be another reason indeed, such as a bot trying to submit the forms on those pages. Your site might benefit from running a plugin like the Blackhole for Bad Bots plugin. |
Thanks, I’ll try that |
Hi, I installed that plugin nut there’s only one bot detected up to now and the incomplete registrations continue. |
Hi there, I went back into the database and cleared the reserved tickets out. This doesn’t look like a bot issue. The failed transactions aren’t happening frequently enough to look like bots. What may be happening is legit registrants are selecting tickets, then they get to the reg form step and realize they don’t have the info or time to complete the form. Under normal circumstances, those reserved tickets should be getting released back into the inventory, but for some reason that’s not happening on your site. We’re looking into how that could happen, and how that can be fixed. |
