Hey,

Want to say first that I love using EE so far. I’m using EE4.decaf to build an event management system for an upcoming conference at my church.

I have the event created in EE4, but in the “Event Datetime & Ticket” section, I can create new tickets but there is no gearbox button for advanced ticket options. Only the trashcan.

When viewing the event page as a user, the “+see details” button for each ticket works as it should but I can’t change any of the advanced details parameters for my tickets…

I tried the patch plugin and the functions.php patch suggested in but neither of them worked.

Any help would be appreciated! I’d really like to use Event Espresso for our conference!

Hi Ted,

It turns out the Advanced Ticket options are available in the caffeinated version. If you’d like to try them before buying, we have Event Espresso 4 caffeinated available to download on Github or you can get a free demo account at demoee.org.

Josh,

Okay, thank you. However, the “+see details” link is still present next to each ticket in the Event post. Is there a way to remove that link, since I can’t edit any of the details in the free version?

Thanks,
Ted

Hey there Ted,

You can inspect any element on a page using a free tool like Chrome Developer Tools (available with Google Chrome) or Firebug (available as a web browser extension).

This will show you the CSS that is handling the styling including the file and line number. Then you can add new styling to your child theme’s stylesheet or via a plugin that adds an additional stylesheet to your WordPress site such as My Custom CSS or Reaktiv CSS Builder.

Try this CSS to hide those links:

.display-tckt-slctr-tkt-details.display-the-hidden.lt-grey-text.smaller-text {display:none;}

Then refresh the page to see the changes.
