I’m using EE3 and although I’ve seen this subject on this forum, the solutions don’t seem to work for me. It worked fine in the beginning, but now, whenever a transaction is complete it says: [ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU]. It used to redirect to the events page with a summary of the reservation.
How can i fix this?
(and I want to translate those pages. Is that possible, the title for instance).
If you edit the Thank You page, you’ll see the [ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU] shortcode within the page.
Make no changes and just update the page, then check if the shortcode works when viewing the page directly. (If you see [ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU] it is not working)
Next go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages.
Do all of the pages show Shortcode and Status OK?
Click to save the settings.
Then click the ‘View’ link next to the dropdown for the Thank you page, does it load the same page?
I use EE3 so it doesn’t say critical pages, but page settings. I just use the Thank you page. The shortcode is there for as far as I can see.
It used to work, but then I made a second page with the same code, but another title. The system didn’t recognize that, so I removed it and edited the original Thank You page. I didn’t edit the code or anything, just the title. And I changed it back.
[ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU] is an EE4 shortcode, have you recently activated then de-activated EE4?
Change the shortcode on the thank you page to [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS] update the general settings and re-test, does it work now?
Also double check that the thank you page selected within the dropdown is the correct thank you page with that shortcode. If you open expand the dropdown can you see multiple ‘Thank you’ pages?
