The key doesn’t affect the functionality of Event Espresso pages or really anything else for that matter.
It’s likely the cloned site doesn’t have the rewrite rules refreshed yet. Can you log into the WordPress dashboard then go to Settings → Permalinks. Simply loading that page will refresh the rewrite rules.
By going through the usual WP routine of disabling plugins and re-enabling one by one, it looks to be caused by LearnDash LMS. Is there any issues that you’re aware of of anything you can suggest?
I’m not aware of any conflicts with Learndash with regards to event pages not displaying. One thing to be aware of is when you activate plugins, some plugins will force another refresh of the rewrite rules on activation, and that can affect the events pages.
Here’s how you work around that: After you activate the deactivated Learndash plugin, you refresh the Settings → Permalinks page once more. Then check the events pages.
Having read your email and looked at the permalink stuctures, I finally figured it out. When we first started using EE, we changed the default events url structure to use courses. It just dawned on me that LD uses the same naming convention, so I changed the LD permalinks structure to online-courses, and hey presto, all good.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Phil
