Hi – I’m getting an error stating the following

The following errors have occurred:
The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE] shortcode has not been properly registered or the corresponding addon/module is not active for some reason. Either fix/remove the shortcode from the post, or activate the addon/module the shortcode is associated with.
EE_Front_Controller – _initialize_shortcodes – 275
The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE] shortcode has not been properly registered or the corresponding addon/module is not active for some reason. Either fix/remove the shortcode from the post, or activate the addon/module the shortcode is associated with.
EE_Front_Controller – _initialize_shortcodes – 275

1) I have a paid version of the Tableview
2) I’m not using the shortcode on any of my pages. I took them out because I realized I didn’t like the TV.

Please help. Thanks.

Hi Ray,

If you’ve checked for the shortcode usage on pages and can’t find its use there you could also check for its usage on a WordPress post.

Hi – I actually searched my entire sql database so I know for sure I’m not using the short code in Post or Pages. Any other ideas?

Hi Ray,

Can you share the SQL search term you used?

Hi – I actually downloaded my entire wordpress database, opened it in dreamweaver and searched for the short code “[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE]”

You might have better success with searching via PHPmyadmin, and with that, you can do a search for:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE%

This way, it will return any results that include parameter usage like:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE parameter_value = something]

Hi – I found the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE] in the wp_options table but even after I deleted the short code I still get the error.

Would it be just easier to make sure I’m registered for the Event Espresso Table Template in your system?

Thanks.

Hi Ray, that message is coming from your site. It isn’t something that we are sending from our end.

It will appear if the shortcode is in use on a page or post but is not actually activated. Could you provide a link to the page that you are seeing this notification on?

Thanks

Lorenzo

It was showing up on all the pages. I think it’s now fixed. I haven’t used the code in a while but in the caching system.

Thanks!

Hi Ray, are you referring to caching as in your local web browser or through a caching plugin?

If you are using a caching plugin like WP Super cache, then please ensure that no-caching rules are setup for your Event Espresso pages:

Thanks

Yes, I am using W3TC and I’m not caching per the instructions. However, it does seem to cache the plugin errors; or at least the non-main EE plugins.

Clearing the W3TC cache should fix that.

Yes, I’ve tried clearing the cache and CDN multiple times over multiple days but it hadn’t worked.

Hi Ray, it shouldn’t hold onto that information unless there is an issue with the cache clearing. Have you run into any other issues related to the messaging not clearing?
