So I am interested in using this platform but I need most of the features from EE 4. I also need to use a QR-code scanning app. Currently the app only works with EE 3. Is it possible to send new orders & the guestlist to a third party through an API? I see that there is a JSON API for EE 3. Is there one for EE 4?

We are in the early beta testing phase of the EE4 scanning app. So it depends on what your time frame to deployment is, but we would certainly welcome working with you if you are building over the next several months.
It seems to me that what you really need is not a JSON API for EE4 to send data out to a third party’s API. What you really need is a little custom plugin written for you by a developer using our developer API for EE4. You can peruse it here: http://code.eventespresso.com/. They would hook a function into an EE provided hook in the order process. Then use our API to grab the data tha you need, and make a request out to the third party’s RESTful API.
