Hi, Event Espresso!

We finally have a V1 of the new website live. Moved to WPEngine, new theme. We were on EE3 before, and now I’m on EE4. Remarkable improvements, we love it. EE4 is hands down a winner.

Before I get to my question, check the site out! We are still debugging and have a ways to go but it’s a start. Made some customization to the single event page template I think you’d be interested in. https://whitepinewilderness.com/

Support license key:

I removed the support token from the previous site and put it on my new site. It still detects the other site. I deleted it from the new site, saved the deletion, and put it back. No change.

On the old site: I have not yet deleted those files – I will be keeping it around for a minute to harvest remaining content. Basically, over the next few weeks I’ll log in to PHPMyAdmin change the URL in the DB to the server IP, export all files and shut the entire thing down.

So, how do I “reset” my key so it doesn’t think I’m using it across multiple websites. While it may seem obvious…is that what “reset” in my Account page does? I’m not of the mind to go around pushing buttons randomly.

Here is the message:

“our support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys…”

Thank you!

Hi Eleanor,

If the old site has the support license key in use, then you’ll want to remove it from there and then save changes. Then request a reset through your account page and a team member will release your support license key. It is the reset button that you mentioned.

At that time, you’ll receive a confirmation and you can activate on your new site.

Please be sure to ask WP Engine to setup no-cache rules for your Event Espresso pages. We have a guide here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

If you are not sure about something, then let us know and we’ll be sure to share feedback.

Thanks

Lorenzo
