I have downloaded the zip file from the WP dashboard. I then activated that plugin. When I go setup the payment method under Event Espresso, it doesn’t show up. I visited https://eventespresso.com/requirements/ and the server and my site meets those requirements. The only thing that may be hindering the setup is that my site has mixed content – meaning on some webpages it shows up as secure and on others it does not. I migrated from a development server to this server. On the development server, everything went fine as far as setting up stripe. After migration, I went back to the development server, deactivated the payment method, and deleted the plugin all-together – thinking this is what is causing the issue. Nope. Then I deactivated and deleted the plugin on my site now, then re-downloaded and reactivated the plugin again – did not work. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
The migration from the development server may not have migrated over the WordPress capabilities for the user accounts. Here’s how to fix:
1) Go to the WP Plugins page and activate the Stripe add-on (if not already activated)
2) You go to Event Espresso > Maintenance > Reset
3) Click on the Reset Event Espresso Capabilities button
Thank you for your quick response! This is definitely something I haven’t tried. When I reset capabilities, what will this effect? I just don’t want to delete any important data that may cause an issue with events and such. Again, thank you for your help!
When you click on the Reset Event Espresso Capabilities button it does not deleted any data. What it does is loop over the capabilities and restore any that happen to be missing.
