Hello, hope you are doing well.
Below is our process that we would like for tickets. Can you help with what settings we should use: Approved or Pending Payment
Event has 10 tickets. If someone checks out with 2 tickets, we want the number to go down to 8 tickets for others and have status as payment pending. After the payment is processed the status becomes approved so we can process their ticket on our side. However if they decide not to make payments after certain days, we cancel their order and the ticket count should go back for sale.
After the approved status, we want to add custom status: Ready for Pickup (email notification too) and Delivered (no notifications). This will help us to know where we stand.

For that to happen you need to use a status of ‘Approved’.
Only approved registrations count towards the sale values of an event.
After the payment is processed the status becomes approved so we can process their ticket on our side.
You currently can’t have pending payment registrations applying to sold values, so these would already be approved, however the transaction for that registration will show as Incomplete until payment is made so you can see the transaction still has monies owing.
However if they decide not to make payments after certain days, we cancel their order and the ticket count should go back for sale.
You can do that by changing the status back from Approved to cancelled.
After the approved status, we want to add custom status: Ready for Pickup (email notification too) and Delivered (no notifications). This will help us to know where we stand.
Currently we don’t provide support for custom registration statuses, for this you would need the help of a developer who can add that functionality into EE for you.
