Trying to confirm that the problem here is that I’m on my staging site. If someone not logged into our staging site tries to register for an event, they’re getting this message:

Nothing in your Event Queue
You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.

But if I visit the site when logged in, I can register fine. When I push this to our live site, users won’t need to be logged into our wordpress to register…correct?

Hi there,

That’s not actually from EE itself, it will be from caching on your server. Caching will be disabled when logged in and enabled when logged out.

EE’s critical pages need to be excluded from caching, we have some info on this here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

Which host are you using?

We use WP Engine

Yeah so they force server-side caching by default, which you can’t disable yourself but they you can disable for you if you open a ticket with them.

We have details on that here:
