Original Thread – https://eventespresso.com/topic/recieving-payment-but-ee-not-completing-the-transaction/ I have a similar problem, however, my transactions are going through Stripe. The credit card is charged, but I don’t have any information on the person who charged it in EE. I can see who it is by their credit card info from Stripe. Now, I want to edit the transactions so that, when they show up with a credit card statement showing they paid, we have some record of their existence. I don’t see a way to edit the record for this transaction/registration. I assume no such record was created since the system believes that the transaction didn’t happen. |
Hi Brian, I have split your reply into a new thread as you are using a different payment method. Just to confirm, within Event Espresso is the registration (and the transaction for that registration) created? You can apply payments to a transaction – http://take.ms/29LGi You can also add notes to that payment – http://take.ms/oihTX Will that work? |

Tony, The registrations show up as “Incomplete”. There’s no name or other information but there’s a completed Stripe Payment. See image… |
Tony, Also, let me be clear. I mis-spoke before. I want to be able to send these registrants their tickets, etc. and, for that, I need names and email addresses entered into EE. I can get them from the customers with the info from Stripe, but how do I manually enter that info into EE? |
Hi Brian, Registrations (containing the attendee information) are created separately from the transaction/payment information. So the registration and contact information should be created before Stripe is selected. There is no image attached to the post above can you re-send it please? |

For the transactions in the image I sent, I can access the Registration details, however, I cannot edit the Contact information. How can I do this? |
There is no “View/Edit Contact” button for the registrations that never saved any registration information. |
Hi Brian, what is the version number for Event Espresso 4? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ — |
Lorenzo… Version 4.6.18.p |
Hi Brian, I can’t reproduce this and suspect this is not an issue with Stripe, the registration and contact info should be created before you reach Stripe. Are you running any caching plugins? Which hosting provider are you using? Can you check your server error logs and see if there any error relating to Event Espresso please? |

Tony, We were originally on a server that cached our page when these registrations were created. We’ve moved the page since then. I’m just trying to save the 4 or 5 registrations on the page without having to ask the folks to register again. |
Ah ok, thank you for explaining, I understand now. As there is no ‘View/Edit Contact’ button for these the best course of action will be to re-register these users using the information from Stripe, you can then apply cancel/delete these broken registrations. You can do this from within the admin yourself so you don’t need to ask the user to re-register. If you go to Events -> *Hover over the event* -> Click on ‘Registrations’ to view a registration list for that event – http://take.ms/2c7LW You can then add manual registrations using the ‘Add New Registration’ button – http://take.ms/1jkv7 You’ll see a ticket selector very similar to the front end registrations, provide the registration details and re-register the user – http://take.ms/vq6y8 Then you can apply the payment to the registration – http://take.ms/YEXuq (In order for Stripe to show up as a Admin Payment method you need to go to Event Espresso -> Payment Methods -> Stripe. Enabled ‘Admin Registration Page (no online processing)’ and save the settings – http://take.ms/iSzu6 , reload the transaction and apply the payment) One note with this method, payment messages are considered critical so there’s no option not to send them when applying a payment to a registration. If this is an issue there is a work around for this. |

THANK YOU! That solved my problem!! |
Great! I’m glad that works for you 🙂 I realised I didn’t show instructions on how to Cancel the previous registrations, have you already done this? |
Tony, No. I was concerned that, if I did delete them, I might not remember which registrations I added later. |
You can simply set the ‘Registration Status’ to Cancelled. Cancelled registrations no longer apply to the Datetime/Ticket limits, but the record is still there if needed. (It is NOT included in the CSV however) Edit the ‘broken’ Registrations and click this button – http://take.ms/ECvf2 Be sure the ‘Send related messages’ checkbox is NOT checked or your attendees will received a registration cancelled message. Does that help? |
