September 25, 2014 at 11:09 am Wordpress 3.9.2 I also had the “Nothing in your event queue” error message. The affected events are done, and I can’t seem to replicate the problem with my remaining events, listed on the Thur-Sat tabs here: http://www.maryvillevineyard.com/groups/ I have no idea what caused this, but lost MANY registrations because of it. It seems it’s not completely isolated… Any idea of the cause? How can I prevent this from happening again? |
September 25, 2014 at 11:41 am Hi, A new support license key was reassigned. Please backup your system and update to the current software. Were you recently running any caching software such as W3 total or wp super cache or cloudflare (even if they have been deactivated)? — |

September 25, 2014 at 11:45 am I can’t update the software due to repeated issues with my site license key. It’s still not working. Several months ago, we deactivated W3 Total Cache due to other conflicts w/ EE4. Since deactivation, we have manually deleted W3 Total AND deleted and reinstalled EE4 twice. |
Hi, Are there any cache related files in this location: wp-content/ Some examples are cache_ and advanced-cache. — |

yep, there’s a leftover file called “advanced-cache-old.php.” I think we renamed it old and left it in place while trying to debug the plugin conflict. There’s also a cache directory w/ several directories and an “index.html” file. |
|
Not sure how that be related since we ran w/out trouble for months before the “Event Queue” bug… Any ideas why it would suddenly break w/out any changes on our end? |
Hi Matthew, Has your host/server admin made any changes recently to the server? The reason I ask is because we’ve seen this happen where a server level change can affect Event Espresso 4. With the caching plugin, I can recommend re-installing it, and then go in to its Advanced settings and disable caching for EE’s registration and payment pages. This way you’ll get the benefits of caching on the rest of your site without the EE conflicts. The do not cache rules are fairly simple to set up in the W3 Total Cache plugin’s Advanced Page cache settings. Here’s an example screenshot that shows how you set it up. |
