Split from this thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/high-number-of-failed-registrations/ We too are experiencing some failed registrations since yesterday. I updated to the latest version today, but some client still have troubles to come through to the payment methods. |
Hi Heinz, are there currently any caching services / plugins or were there recently any caching plugins running on your site? Examples would be W3 total cache, Quick Cache, WP Super Cache If so, please ensure that no-cache rules are setup for your Event Espresso pages: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/ Note that the examples in the screenshots in the tutorial above are from a default version of Event Espresso. If your page slugs are different, then do add your actual page slugs to the no-cache rules and be sure to save changes. Also, update to the latest release (rolled out this afternoon): https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ — |

Hi Lorenzo, thank you, that’s a good tipp. |
Hi, Do you have a test event I we can run some registrations on? I’d like to run multiple registrations using different browsers, also know which timezone the registrants are likely within? |

Hi, we don’t have a test event. I saw that you have registered to an event. |
Hi, could you update to the newest release (rolled out yesterday): https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ Also, there isn’t any cache_ related files here, right? /wp-content — |

No cache related data in /wp-content |
Alright, thanks for checking Heinz. The recent reports were due to caching so I just wanted to rule that out. Have you been able to duplicate the issue recently? — |
|
|
I did not have the issue but a few clients and a partner in the project. |
Hello, I just tried a test registration under the test name Rocio but did not see the issue. Could you let us know the browser that it happened in? I just tested with Safari. Thanks again — |

It happend in Safari with out partner, but don’t know the Browser of the client. |

Hi Heinz, Apologies for my delay in replying back to you. I had no problems registering onto the event, I stopped at the payment step. I’d like to run a few more registrations using different browsers, can I do so on your regular event? I’m just checking as Event Admin emails will be sent for each of the registrations so wanted to confirm first. Also although it should not matter do you happen to know the likely timezone setting for the user that reported problems? |

Hi Tony |
Hi, Unfortunately I can not reproduce this. I’ve tested with Chrome, Firefox & IE in Windows and Safari & Chrome in OSX Yosemite. On all occasions I can reach the payment step, on a couple of the registrations I have selected Invoice and proceeded to finalize the registration, again without issue. I’ve ask one of our developers for some feedback on what could be causing this and will update this thread with any news. |
