Hi Neeltje,

This setting is not something that is setup in Event Espresso. It depends on having guest checkout enabled in the merchants PayPal account:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/mer/WAX_landing-outside

It is also only available if the merchant has a Premier or Business account. Additionally, this option is only available for certain countries.

Could you let us know where the merchant is based so we can provide some additional recommendations?

EE4 does not allow for Guest Checkout through PayPal Standard. The PayPal Standard option takes the user to PayPal’s payment page which only provides them the option to login to their PayPal account, or to create a new account. I do have the optional setting as on in paypal. Still no luck.

Hello again,

I just created a new test site and added my PayPal as the merchant account. I do see the guest checkout option:

Please ask your client to follow up with PayPal support.

Already did all settings are the way they need to be. Now I had a previous issue with paypal with reoccurring items it forces people to sign up for obvious reasons. Is this something that Event espresso may be calling by accident somewhere?

Hi there,

I checked and Event Espresso doesn’t send recurring items. Have you tried using a different browser when you test out PayPal payments along with Event Espresso? The reason I ask is because if you use a browser where you’ve recently logged in to a PayPal account, PayPal.com will leave a cookie on your browser so the next time you go to PayPal.com (in this case from your EE checkout) they’ll assume you have a PayPal account and the guest checkout option will not appear.

As an aside, I checked stlreia.com and it’s running Event Espresso 3. Are you running Event Espresso 4 on another website?
