Hello, I want to offer my customers an option where they can buy say 6 class passes for the price of 5.

I am struggling on how I set this up as they need to register for each event individually. I had hoped the calender view had the “add to cart” feature which would have made it easier.

Hi Aisling,

The calendar view does not have an add to cart feature. The event list feature does though. If you install the volume discounts add-on there’s a way to set it up to discount a fixed dollar amount once there are 6 tickets in the cart.

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/volume-discounts/

You can also set the individual event registration forms to not be displayed and run all registrations through the cart, please see this article for more info:

I managed to find it from some other pages! 🙂

I have set it all up and it does work when I add the required events. However, my cart total is £2000040. I was told to visit the registration cancelled page to fix it, but it just keeps coming back.

Another problem I am having, say I want to attend a class on Monday at 4pm, there is a special offer whereby if I register for four of these I get a discount. I click “Add to cart” on the class for the next four weeks, I go to view my cart and only two are in my cart. I cannot get the other two to show up.

I have sent login details last night and the web address to test it out is,

Many Thanks

With the volume discounts add-on it’s important to set up the discounts to apply to all categories -or- a specified category or it will throw errors.

With this one:

I click “Add to cart” on the class for the next four weeks, I go to view my cart and only two are in my cart. I cannot get the other two to show up.

What is the shortcode that you are using that should add all four events to the cart? You might need to double check the ID’s in the shortcode and make sure they match all four events.

I have it set to all categories. Still I get the huge cart total.

I am using this within the movie-list custom template,

<pre class=”brush: php; gutter: true; first-line: 1; highlight: []; html-script: false”><?php echo do_shortcode('[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id="' . $event->id . '" anchor="Add to cart"]'); ?>

I checked your site and it appears to be working fine. Here’s a screenshot. I think you might need to clear your browser’s cache.

Hi Josh,

Sorry I didn’t explain it very well. The special offer would be to buy 4 sessions and get a discount. Say I wanted to attend Yoga every Monday, I would need to buy four yoga classes in advance to get a discount. (covering the next four weeks) all at the same time. The table that is present shows four that I can choose, but when I add all 4 to the cart, only two get recorded.

Hi there,

I checked and this is because two of the Monday events (with the ID’s of 5 & 6) are not open for registation yet. If you’d like to make it so those events will get added to the cart you can open them for registration by setting the registration start dates to an earlier date..
