I am not receiving all registration emails on different events. I noticed this when I receive a payment confirmation via PayPal and do not have the registration email to match. However, the attendee shows up in the attendee list. |
Hello, A mismatch of information like what you have reported could occur if a registrant uses the back button to go back and then process another registration. However, in that case, the old record would be replaced with a new one. With your example, it does not appear that records are being replaced — rather it seems like some emails are not arriving. Are you seeing anything in your junk mail folder for Event Espresso emails? If so, could you setup a transactional email service like Postmark app or Sendgrid? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ — |

No event espresso emails are going into Spam/Junk folder. I did a test registration using PayPal as the chosen method, but did not follow through in PayPal, and received only the Payment Method email and not the registration email. Then tested selecting payment via check and received both registration and payment method emails. Using my email address as the attendee for both tests, I also did not receive a personal registration confirmation email from either test registration. A couple of legit registrations came in right after my test registrations and both the registration and payment method emails arrived. Very erratic behavior. We have been using Event Espresso registrations for some time without this problem. |
Hello, If you use an offline payment method like check or invoice then the payment email goes out right away because the registrant needs more specific information to know how to make their payment. If you use PayPal, then it goes out after a payment has been made. — |

The question remains, however, as to why some registration emails are not arriving. |

Additionally, for one particular attendee both the registration and payment method emails didn’t arrive. The only way we knew he registered was by looking at the attendee list. |
There are lots of reasons for emails failing from being marked as spam to incorrectly configured mail servers. One step I would recommend is to install a plugin such as WP Mail Logging which allows you to track all emails triggered within your site. You can then confirm if the email is actually be sent from the site and lost on the way or if the emails are not being triggered at all. |
