HELP!! I am using Braitree on our wordpress website through EE. I created a test invoice and when I try to pay it gives me this error message “Some payment method input fields are invalid” BUT all the fields are filled in. Is this a wordpress issue? Is it an Event Espresso issue? Is it a Braintree issue??? I am lost and I need to get this going. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Hi there, Can you post a screenshot of the error message so we can see where it was displayed? |
I spoke to Braintree and they said it looks like the event espresso code is not talking to Braintree? This is the error I get even after filling in all of the required fields on the registration. |
Ughhh I can’t seem to post a screen shot..can I attach a jpeg? |
For screenshots you need to host the image and post the link here, we have some examples of how to add screenshots here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots |

I ran a registraion on your site and it looks like your host is using server side caching, forcing all of your pages to be server from cache. When I register onto any event I see ‘Nothing in your event queue’, you’ll likely see the same if you register onto an event whilst NOT logged into the site. Which hosting provide are you using? |
Hello, According to this tool (https://urivalet.com/?http://tricityaor.com/registration-checkout/#checkout#Report), there is some kind of caching in use. Are you using Godaddy managed hosting? — |
WOW!! Thank you for the quick responses!! I AM using GoDaddy as managed hosting. So do I need to clear the cache? I am so lost on this… |
Hello, could you try these steps? They were recommended by an evangelist at Godaddy. 1) Login to your WP dashboard and click on Flush Cache which appears on the admin toolbar: http://cl.ly/image/2228341I1P18 2) Then rename or delete the object-cache.php file which should be in the wp-content folder If you are not comfortable with making this change yourself, then please check with with the WordPress Managed hosting support team at Godaddy and ask them to rename the object-cache.php file from the /wp-content/ directory of your website: — |
I’m going to try that now π |
Sorry that this is probably a silly question..but where is the wp-content folder? I was able to flush the cache. It was at the top bar under a drop down that says “GoDaddy” |
Hi, you would need to login to your site using an SFTP or an FTP client like FileZilla or Cyberduck. This isn’t something that can be changed through the WP dashboard so the first step is to clear the cache and then the second is to rename that file. If you have access to that information (e.g. a temporary SFTP / FTP login) but are not familiar with Filezilla or Cyberduck, then you can share that information privately and we’ll help you out: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ — |
I cleared the cache and it still isn’t working |
Lorenzo..Thank you! I will try to do that..”TRY” is the keyword there π This is making my hair gray!! lol |
Hello, There are multiple steps needed. Please take another look at my earlier post: You’ll need to deactivate the caching feature on the site and those steps will do that. — |
I am trying to fix this again..on the phone with GoDaddy. If they can’t rename the cache, can you walk me through it? I need to get this going as we need to start taking online payments… |
1) Login to your WP dashboard and click on Flush Cache which appears on the admin toolbar: http://cl.ly/image/2228341I1P18 2) Then log into your Godaddy account and go to the file manager, where you’ll rename or delete the object-cache.php file which will be in the wp-content folder of your website. |
Hi there! I did all of that with help from GoDaddy…and this is the crazy part..HE was able to go through the registration form without any issues. I assumed it was fixed. I cleared my cache on my computer as well as Godaddy/WP again. I made the events live to try to fill it out that way..and it is still giving me the error. Are you able to try to look at it? It is http://www.tricityaor.com and the events are under Local Classes and Calendar of Events… |
I’m getting the same error..so maybe I am doing something wrong? |
I tried to register on my phone instead of my computer and I am getting the same error!!! UGhhh this is not working at all!! |
Can you post a link to a page that has a ticket selector on it? That will help us know where to look. |
Can you try installing the theme test drive plugin plugin, then set the Test Drive to a theme like twenty sixteen, then try a test registration? I’d like to rule out any possibility of the theme causing an issue with that Braintree billing form. |
Sure π At this point I am willing to try anything! LOL π I will do that now.. |
Holy Moly! That worked!! It does shove things around and will mean I have to rebuild the site though…I don’t mind that. Is it possible to redo the site in the test mode and then make it live? That way it won’t be funky as I am recreating it…Thank you so much by the way!! |
Yes, it’s possible to do it that way, or you can contact the developer of the theme and ask them to fix their theme so it doesn’t break the Braintree billing form. Or you can use any of the themes that are available from |
Sounds good!! Actually I don’t mind the 2016 theme at all!! Thank you so much for your help today!!! I was at the end of my rope π |
Hi Amy, Could you confirm that you are no longer experiencing any sporadic issues with the registration form? — |
