If an event sells out then someone cancels, there is no way to resell those tickets. The tickets do not show up for sale and there is no way to make the event be active again. What is the workaround?
I can add 4 tickets to the total number available, then it shows 8 tickets. Only 4 can sell, then it will let people add name, email hit register before it tells them it’s sold out. I will be fielding many angry phone calls if this is the workaround.
Status options are:
Pending Review
Draft
Cancelled
Postponed
Sold Out
I’m not seeing the same issue on my test site where if I add more quantity to a ticket it allows more sign ups past the limit.
One thing you could do is add a new ticket with a quantity of 4. The original ticket will remain sold out, and new ticket sales will apply toward the new ticket. Then when the new ticket is sold out, the ticket selector will automatically disappear.
As an aside, future versions of Event Espresso 4 have an improvement with the Cancelled feature so when you go in and cancel a registration, it will automatically open up a spot on the event.
There’s a setting in Event Espresso > General Settings > Templates that says “Display Status Banner”. If you set “Display Status Banner” to Yes for the Single event it will say “Sold Out” when the event is sold out.
