Site is now live and I can't make recaptcha work

I’m having issues with the recaptcha. I have registered and placed the site and private keys on the EE4 Registration Form. I have checked to make sure I copy and pasted the correct site and secret keys in the right place.

Please advise.

The pop up error message says it cannot contact recaptcha and to check my connection and try again.

The message on the bottom of the page where the recaptcha is says “ERROR for site owner: Invalid site key”

I know the keys are right.

I entered the site name when I was registering it as http://www.tocift.org

Not sure where I went wrong???

Hi Laura,

There can be a delay before you can use reCAPTCHA, it can take up to 30 minutes or so until you can start using the API. It appears that it’s working now:

It doesn’t look like it’s working on my end. My “connection” to the internet is fine. Do you have any ideas Josh?

Hi Laura,

That’s not from Event Espresso.

EE only adds a reCaptcha form to the registration checkout – http://take.ms/fXnBnn

Thats working fine.

The above screenshot looks like its from your contact page: https://tocift.org/contact-us/

The settings within EE do no control that reCaptcha, I don’t know what it’s from but likely another plugin or the theme and the key settings for whatever is adding the above are incorrect.

You’ll need to find whatever is adding that reCaptcha to your site and update the keys.
