Question on my topic title and a bug I found that is related.
I’m testing EE4, Multiple Registrations, and Users on our site and I set my availability to 4/5 on a ticket, leaving only 1 seat. I then simultaneously registered two individuals, using two browsers, for that one spot. I found that if both users get that registration into their carts prior to completing the registration process, both can get through. Now the availability is 6/5. This creates issues when I may have to deny one of the users.
Is there a way to error check availability when a user clicks any “Proceed to Registration” and “Proceed to Payment” buttons? If true, this would kick me out and back to the cart with a message that the event is now full.
Bug: Found a bug to add additional registrations on a ticket. When I’m at 4/5 availability and add 1 to the cart, the cart correctly disables the ‘plus’ sign from adding more seats to the event ticket. However, if I go back to the Event List, I can add that same seat to the cart again. Now, back in the cart, I have two entries and can easily proceed to registration because there is no check at that point. Further, the plus sign is now active and I can keep adding seats.
The issues you reported here are fixed in a branch of Event Espresso 4 and Multi Event Registration and they are currently being tested. If you’d like to test these out on your site, you can download zipped files of the plugins here:
