Hi EE

Can you help me with the email template template I want to use please

Payment will be by invoice – outside of EE – a custom pdf further form will be sent by course admins to registrants requesting details (also outside of EE)

So the ‘Registration Approved’ email generated by EE (both the one sent to admin and to registrant) needs to be much simpler, something like this

standard header with logo

thank you for registering for the following courses

First Aid 1st May x 3
First Aid 2nd April x 1
Advanced First Aid x 1

Standard Footer with contact
———————————
that’s all that’s required (btw in the above example there are 5 tickets in total)

thank you,

Phil

Hi Phil,

So you only want a single email to go out to just the primary registrant listing all of the ticket types (with their qty)?

Changing the header/footer within the message template currently isn’t easily done.

However, you can simply the text shown on the email within the template editor.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Teampltes -> Registration Approved -> Edit Primary Registrant.

Make sure that [RECIPIENT_EMAIL] is in the TO field and the toggle switch is on for that message type.

In the main content section you’ll just want something like:

Thank you for registering for the following courses:

[TICKET_LIST]

(Remove the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode from that section.

Then in the TICKET_LIST section just use:

    [TICKET_NAME] x [TKT_QTY_PURCHASED]

Save and test a registration.

Is that what you are looking for?

Hi Tony,

Thanks very much, that’s nearly it, however instead of giving me
First Aid 1st May x 3
First Aid 2nd April x 1
Advanced First Aid 5 June x 1

it gives me
1st May x 3
2nd April x 1
5 June x 1

in other word i need to add the event name
so i suppose

  • [EVENT_NAME], [TICKET_NAME] x [TKT_QTY_PURCHASED]
  • would do it however [EVENT_NAME] isn’t allowed in the [Ticket List] section

nb my event names / ticket names are like this

    best regards,
    Phil

Ah, my apologies. I didn’t realise the beginning was the event name.

That changes things a little as you’ll need to call the EVENT_LIST section.

So where you currently have [TICKET_LIST], change that to [EVENT_LIST]

Empty the event list section and replace it with:

[EVENT_NAME], [RECIPIENT_TICKET_LIST]

    Then in TICKET_LIST use:

    [TICKET_NAME] x [TKT_QTY_PURCHASED]

That’s perfect Tony, very many thanks.

p.s. I posted a question 3 days ago ‘bulk edit – event times’

just checking it’s in hand and hasn’t been forgotten about

apologies if I’m just being to impatient and it is in hand!

    thanks,
    Phil

Nope, not forgotten but the short answer is you can’t bulk edit the datetimes so I’m trying to find a better solution than just ‘edit them manually’ 🙂
