Hi, I’m having a problem whereby deleting an event from the shopping cart does not clear it from memory. As a result, when I order and pay for another event, it tells me to enter a ticket number for the previous (non-existent) event, or to delete this from the cart (which I have already done). This is a problem because it actually blocks me from ordering or paying for the second event – the one I actually want! I am using the following:

Event Espresso Version 3.1.36.6.P
EE Calendar Version 2.2.4.p
Event Espresso API Plugin Version 2.1.3.P
Event Espresso – Multi Event Registration Version 1.0.5.p
Event Espresso Volume Discounts Version 0.5.1
Event Espresso – Ticketing Version 2.1.p
Event Espresso – Recurring Events Version 1.1.8.p

I would appreciate your help with this as soon as possible 🙂
Thanks!

Hi,

Can you provide a link to your event list please?

Hi Dean, thanks for your reply – do you just want the front end, or access to the WordPress Dashboard (including username and password)? In either case, can I PM you the details? (for the sake of privacy).
Cheers!

Hi Angela,

The issue that you described sounds like a caching plugin or service is running. If you are using one, then please take a look at this page:

Hi Lorenzo – thanks very much – that looks like exactly what I need!
One question though; I don’t have the ‘Page Status OK’ and the ‘Shortcode OK’ messages for the EE -> General Settings -> Critical Pages section (as per the link you directed me to). Would there be a reason for this? I have noticed that despite adding the Support License Key (under General Settings ->Support License), my EE account says that it is ‘Not currently activated on any websites’…could this have something to do with it?
Thanks again for your help!

Hi,

The screenshot on the linked page is from EE4, your version (EE3) doesn’t look the same.

Thanks Dean – I checked and the only installed plugin that utilizes caching is WordFence; I have deactivated this feature of WordFence AND added the relevant slugs to the exclusion list, but the issue persists…do you have any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks again.

Hi,

Can you provide a link to your event list please? I’d like to run a test on it and also see if there are any obvious issues.

Sharing solution here with the community:

Thanks for your swift response. I had a second look in the folders and found an old folder marked’ iThemes’ in the Uploads folder. This was an old security plugin I later replaced with WordFence. Although I had removed the iThemes files/folders from the Plugins folder, there were still some redundant iThemes files in ‘Uploads’.

I deleted these files and the site is now working perfectly.
