Hi, I’ve got a client’s site using PayPal Express Checkout Smart Payment Buttons (with Venmo). They’ve not been able to see the Venmo option at checkout, what’s in the documentation doesn’t appear to match what they’re seeing in the Venmo app.
Any advice for getting the Venmo app set up to see it as a payment method? It seems like they’ve changed the UI quite a bit. I found a YouTube tutorial from 2020, but that appears outdated as well.
Venmo will appear on mobile devices when an attendee has the Venmo mobile app installed and when merchant payments are enabled in the app. An attendee can enable merchant payments through the Venmo app –> Settings –> Connect Browsers and then connect the browser.

Thanks, Joao! I sent that very same email to my client before contacting support. It seems that may be outdated as well – at least compared to whatever they have installed. I’m going to see if I can find any other recent tutorials.
Yes. I also recommend getting in touch with Venmo support, just to make sure that you are receiving the most recent information.
