Is there somewhere I can go to get clear instructions on how to configure A.net so that it works with Event Espresso.

Thanks,
John

You go here for AIM:
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/payment-settings-ee3/#AIM

and here for SIM:

Josh,

Thanks – I am using SIM and had found this link already, but still having an issue getting set up.

In my tests I am able to complete the registration form, confirm, and then get sent to Authorize.net and complete the payment. But, when I hit the Pay Now button, I do not return to my site’s Thank You page, nor does any transaction information get sent back to my site. Instead i get the following:

An error occurred while trying to report this transaction to the merchant. An e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

This transaction has been approved.
It is advisable for you to contact the merchant to verify that you will receive the product or service.

In my Authorize.net account, I added theThank You URL:

http://sbmissionconference.org/thank-you/

Not sure what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

I checked your thank-you page URL and it loads quickly, so that’s good. Authorize.net has some documentation that lists out some things to check if you get that error:

https://community.developer.authorize.net/t5/The-Authorize-Net-Developer-Blog/Relay-Response-Basics-and-Troubleshooting/ba-p/9536

The usual things to look out for are the server ports they list need to be open, and the relay response URL must be correct.

Hi Josh,

I am really at a loss here, I have checked all these obvious things, including the ports being open, and have found nothing wrong, yet still have the issue.

Can you make any further recommendations on what I might look at?

Thanks,
John

Josh,

I have been scouring through the forum to see if I can find any clues and I come across some mentions of “https” and SSL – I do not have SSL set up on my site – is this a problem? I thought I could run the SIM interface using http?

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

I noticed that your thank you page is showing a shortcode.

Could you trash and delete the page through your WP dashboard and then create a new one and add the following shortcode to it and publish it?

[ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS]

Then please go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Page Settings and ensure that the thank you page is assigned along with the other pages:
