Hi, We’re having a similar problem to the issue described in my original ticket – https://eventespresso.com/topic/send-event-registration-emails-to-specific-email-address-based-on-event/ For a specific event the custom registration approval email isn’t being received. I have checked all of the settings and cannot see an issue. http://naft.org.au/screen-shot-2016-05-17-at-9-30-36-am/ Could you take a look at what might be wrong? Thanks |
Hi Madeleine, Do you have the Multi Event Registration Add-on active on the site? (MER for short) Is the default message template being used or is no email being received at all? |
Hi Tony, No we dont have MER installed. Thanks |
Does the other template also use 2 email addresses in the to field? Try using just a single email address and testing if that works. |
I’ve already tried this with my email and it didn’t work. The other form has multiple addresses as well. Thanks |
Hmm if you’ve tried using a single email then it’s a problem with the template. I’ll take a look, can you send temporary login details using this form please: |
Hi Tony, Any update on this (I sent the login details yesterday)? We have events scheduled where this isn’t working and my client is nagging me to have it fixed ASAP. Thanks Madeleine |
Hmm, strange, the messages setup looks fine. If you install a plugin such as WP Mail logging and retest, do the emails show up in the log? If not can you check the servers error log and see if there are any errors being thrown by EE during the email call. |

Hi, Could you take a look ASAP. Thanks |
Hi Madeline, I checked the event and in the Notifications box it’s set to use a different Registrations Approved template than the one in the screenshot. Can you double check and make sure that’s the correct message template set there? |
Hi, Yes I have checked both events and can see the registration templates are set to the correct custom ones. It seems the emails arent being to sent to anyone that doesnt have an email address with the same domain as the site? Thanks Madeleine |
I get the test email when I test with an email address that doesn’t have the same domain as the site. If there’s a problem with the host’s built in email server, this can be resolved by switching the site to use a transaction email service, like one of the services listed in this guide: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ |

Hi, No there isnt a problem with the email host, I have just noticed that the only person who seems to be getting the emails has an @naft.org.au email address. I have run tests using an alternate address + @naft.org.au and it is fine. So there is clearly an issue with the form. I need this resolved ASAP, going back and forth over a forum conversation is not productive. Could you please get back to me with a solution? Thanks |
I’m not seeing any issues with the form, and like I mentioned earlier, I received one of the test emails from the message editor form. The solution I can recommend is trying one of the transactional email services: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ Part of the issue here may be that the emails aren’t sent when there are multiple email addresses (separated by a comma) in the TO: field. One of the transaction email services listed in the above linked wiki might allow for multiple email addresses in the To: field. |

I have removed the multiple email addresses and added 1 per event (that is then forwarded to the relevant people). it still isnt working. |
Have you tried one of the transaction email services listed in the wiki? |
