Send confirmation email after selecting Invoice payment method (reopening)

This is a continuation of the thread https://eventespresso.com/topic/send-confirmation-email-after-selecting-invoice-payment-method/. As mentioned in the noted thread https://eventespresso.com/topic/question-on-registration-confirmationnotification-email/, applying the email notification hack results in duplicate emails being sent to the registrant. What is the solution?

Note that the code added to the check gateway included the conditional check to see if the message had already been sent.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

OK, so I tested out the code snippet that Sidney gave you and it worked perfectly on my test installation. Only one email sent each time. I tested yours and yep, there are two.

I thought it might be the invoice being active etc, but in my tests it makes no difference (tested on my site not yours).

I also tested this on the version of Event Espresso you are running as well as the latest version and no duplicate emails for either.

Right now I feel the only course of action is for you to fully troubleshoot the site_ deactivate all plugins barring Event Espresso core and test. If the email duplication problem is resolved, activate each plugin one by one and test until the culprit is found.
