I have the beta stuff installed on EE4 and wanted to test the scanning function.
Picked up a Bluetooth scanner and everything is configured correctly.
When i print out the ticket and try to scan the barcode on the ticket nothings happens. It’s as though the scanner is not seeing that barcode as barcode. It’s scanning everything also including similar barcodes from boxes..etc.. but not EE one.. anyone has any ideas?
Yes bar code is like the first example you have.. and yes i have everything setup correctly.
What i am saying is that the barcode scanner does not event want to scan your barcode although its scanning everything also i try. Just not the barcode from EE4 ticket.
I can send you a video of what i mean. It seems as the code that was printed on the ticket is not valid because scanner works fine on every other barcode even ones that look similar from that of EE4
Ok its got to be something on the generation of the barcode. I retyped registration code into this website and printed it and scanned it and it worked but your barcode image doesn’t work.
There are different types of barcodes, and your scanner may not be able to read some of them. The URL of the ticket link you can scan indicates that it’s a C128B barcode type. The default barcode type that the library we use generates is a code93 barcode type.
You can change the barcode on the ticket to use a code128 barcode type by changing the shortcode to be:
[BARCODE_* type=code128]
