Sandbox registration not showing as approved

I’ve set up a registration using Sandbox. The transaction passed on the Sandbox side, but in EE4, no $$ payment shows. The registration default is set to “approved”.

Shouldn’t this transaction display as “paid”; should I receive notifications to the email address on my registration?

The registration default is set to “approved”

With a Default Registration Status (DRS) of ‘Approved’ you are basically saying ‘I don’t care what the payment status is, the user has a space within the event’

Is that expected?

Most users want the DRS to be ‘Pending Payment’, this will automatically switch to approved when the transaction has been paid (or if the ticket is free). Is that what you are expecting currently?

Have you previously tested Payment on this server?

Do you have FTP access or similar (like cPanel to use its file manager) to enabled WP_DEBUG?

Tony, I changed status to Previous payment and now my payments are showing as paid.

However, I (as a test registrant) am not getting confirmation emails.

Likewise, when (as administrator) I click “resend registration”, this error occurs:

An error has occurred:
Something went wrong and the message for this registration was NOT resent
EED_Messages – process_resend – 643

Hi Valerie, is the PayPal IPN enabled for your sandbox account? That updates Event Espresso about the payment information from PayPal.

The registration confirmation emails should go out if the registration is marked as paid by PayPal. If that is not being updated on the specific transaction, then the registration approved email would not go out.

On the resend email issue, could you let us know if your registration approved message type looks like this?

You can check by going to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then look for the Registration Approved Message type.

Thank you! Toggling off, then on in the Messages tab worked. Now the emails are working for Paypal and VIP admin-issued tickets.
