sagepay payments not working

we recently switched to the sage pay server integration payment system from the normal sagepay one.

It won’t accept any payments, it will take them through the screen to enter the information but then comes up with an error. However, the money shows on their account as pending and then returns it. I have contacted both our web developer and Sagepay themselves. Our developer can’t see an issue and the transactions aren’t even reaching sagepay – they have no record of these even being attempted.

The error that comes up says:

“error processing transaction

Server error 5006: unable to redirect to vendors website. Vendor failed to provide a redirection URL.

HTTP error 500: the request was unsuccessful due to an expected condition encountered by the server.”

We have been unable to take payments for months now please can you asssit!

Hi,

The Server error 5006 suggests that while responding to the notification post the Redirect URL was not included. Or, even if the Redirect URL is included, its format is incorrect.

The first thing to check is make sure that Ports 80 and 443 of your server are “open” to receive notification posts from SagePay.

Then, also check the logs in Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Logs. Each transaction will have about 4 log items. One of the log items will include information for “IPN data” and “response_data”. Within the “response_data” section there should be a “RedirectURL”. Is there one? If so, what’s the URL logged there?
