Is this possible with the new EE4 mobile app… If I have a handful of event managers (ie per venue I have a booking for) to only show their events on the app and not ‘every event’ created?
Yes this is possible. You’ll need a plugin like User Role Editor to customize the role of the user accounts for the event managers. You can give them the Events Administrator role, and remove the ee_read_others_events capability from that role.
Then you set the event manager to be the Author of the event. When they log into the app with their user account, they will only see the events where they’ve been set as the Author.
Josh for further protection of the WP platform, is there a way the event manager can have a different password on the app from what the pw is on the WP platform. I don’t want to allow event managers to be able to touch anything on the WP side, just the mobile app side. Thank you for your reply!
Yes you can use the Application Passwords plugin to set a password for using the app only. After you activate application passwords you’ll need to log into their WP account to set their Application password for their account.
Also who do I talk to if I would like to get the option to have the mobile app ‘white labeled’ with my logo embedded with website domain so all that needs to be inputted is just username and password? Plus be able to download on the android and maybe iOS marketplace.
With regards to white-labeling, you can fill out the form on this page and someone from the sales team will get in touch. There’s more information about the White-label Event App service here:
