We basically use Event Espresso for our yearly convention and it works fantastically. However between last year and this year I didn’t clean out everything and that caused me some minor headaches. I want to know the proper way to remove all events and registrations before next years convention. I see the area in the maintenance area but the 4 buttons confuse me and not sure which option to choose. We just want to clear out the last 2 years of conventions and all tickets and registrations and transactions and then we will build the new convention next year. |

The “Reset Event Espresso Tables” button will accomplish what you’re looking to do. Please note you’ll also need to re-enter your payment method information after you reset the data. Before you do the reset, if you open the Payment Settings page and leave it open in a browser tab, you can quickly re-save that info after the reset. |

I followed the instructions here, now I have an error: There are no Active Payment Methods setup for Event Espresso. Please activate at least one. I had the window open in a separate window for Pay Pal Standard which is what we use and that doesn’t even show up now. Our support license key also disappeared from the configuration.. |

PayPal Standard is no longer recommended or supported. You can use PayPal Express as a replacement for PayPal Standard. Here’s a link to the guide that shows how to get PayPal Express set up: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/paypal-express-payment-gateway/#locate Your support license key can be re-entered and it’s printed on your account page. |

Oh I didn’t know it had been setup that way since we bought it 3 years ago and never told us to update it. I followed your instruction in that other link and got the api and stuff then submit and get this error: |

I just put the information in again and clicked the update button and it looks like it worked now. |

EE itself didn’t show a notice, if users were already using PayPal Standard it continued to work but new installs no longer show it (as you’ve reset EE its basically now a new install so no longer shows it). We’ve been recommending all PayPal Standard users switch to Express because its much more reliable, for some users PayPal Standard did not cause many issues, for others it causes plenty so we opted for the least invasive option.
I’m glad its working, if you run into any more problems please do let us know. |
