Error appears after a customer enters their personal info + answers some questions and then clicks “Confirm and go to payment page”
» You must fill in Email Address.
I tested in and made sure the email address field is filled in and got the same error.

Hi,
The error message is coming from the sidebar form (Mailchimp plugin) not from Event Espresso.
I cannot see where the error is being fired from, so perhaps the best solution is to not show that widget on the registration page, either by using a plugin to change where widgets are displayed or changing the Event Registarion (or whatever the main registration page is called) to have no side bar, most themes support a full width page template and this can be done by editing the page itself http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Page_Templates
