The registration popup isn’t working since our server upgraded to php 7. We tried upgrading the EE plugin to the latest version, and that didn’t seem to make a difference. See https://nuttyscientists.com/acadiana/blog/events/birthday-party-registration-and-deposit/

And we recently migrated the site to the new server. Domain didn’t change, but I’m not sure if that could cause an issue with the setup or account authentication.

Hi there,

The popup is working for me – http://take.ms/hXlfE

However after clicking through to register is shows ‘nothing in your event queue’ which usually happens when you are caching the EE4 critical pages (which you are on your site) – http://take.ms/DrDrc

That page, along with the pages listed in Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical pages will need to be excluded from the cache. We have some documentation on this here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

We excluded the caching on the critical pages (WP Engine, so we had their techs take care of it), however we are still running into issues with cookies. Can you take a look and let me know if there is another change we need to make.

The pages are still set to cache – http://take.ms/RhwmK

Can you contact them again and request they apply the changes again, their server is still caching EE pages, so you’ll continue to get the same error until that is fixed.

Hey Tony –

I checked with WP Engine and the critical pages are caching. We’re still getting the cookies message. Are we not caching the right pages, or could something else be causing the issue?

I checked with WP Engine and the critical pages are caching.

Is that a typo? They are caching or they are not?

The EE4 critical pages need to NOT be cached.

Hi Justin,

You’ll need to ask WPEngine support to exclude this page from the cache:

Thanks. It looks like the issue was with the multi-site setup and caching setup. It’s fixed now. Thanks for your help.
