I recently updated my EE from EE3 to EE4. I created a new event, but I’m unable to see the questions for the registration from on the front end.
I am also having issues with the paypal. Once I select the number of participants for the event, my total doesn’t appear, and it doesn’t take me to paypal. my web address is ohhsinstrumentalmusic.com (see event>CLIPPER-THON Walk & Run 4 Health (2016) ) Thanks

Hi Raymond,

I checked your site and this appears to be caused by an out of date copy of the Enfold theme. It’s the same issue reported here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/are-you-having-trouble-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-5-please-read-this-first/

Can you get the latest version of the Enfold theme updated to your site?

Thanks for the recommendation to update the theme for the website. That’s done. Now I’m getting the following message when I select the participants: “Nothing in your Event Queue”. Please help. Thanks

Something still isn’t quite right with that site. This screenshot from Firebug gives a clue with what’s wrong:

Normally the wp_head() hook should only fire in the <head> section of the page. Not in the middle of the page between the Ticket Selector form and the event Description.

You’ll probably need to find out how that stuff is being added there. It may be a custom function added to a theme file or another plugin.

There are a few possible causes to this issue. You can rule these out one by one:
1) A theme conflict. You can rule this out by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme. Normally Enfold works out of the box with Event Espresso, but if something has been customized that may be causing the breakage.
2) A plugin conflict. You can rule this out by temporarily deactivating any other installed WordPress plugins.

I’ve made some changes to the website and now I’m getting “Event not in queue error for only ONE EVENT. I’ve read other people’s issues with this message and tried some of what was suggested to correct this issue, but I’m not successful. Can you assist? Thanks

Do you know if there’s anything unique with the one event? For example, is there any custom code added to its description, a custom field, or a template?

Have you tried clearing your browser’s cache? Are you certain that caching has been disabled for this server?

There is nothing unique to the event. There are no custom codes. fields, or templates. I’ve already tried clearing the cache. Any other suggestions?

I’ve read several support posts with other users having the same or a similar issue and tried many of the suggestions. My event is fast approaching and I can’t get EE to work for me. This is very frustrating. I’m beginning to think I made the wrong decision to renew my licence. Can you look anymore into my website and assist me? Thanks

Hi Reymond,

I had a look into your site and noticed your checkout page, here:

http://ohhsinstrumentalmusic.com/singleevent-single_event_idclipper-thon-walk-run-4-health-110-5737d0e1ad495/

Looks like it was a single event page within EE3 that has been migrated over to work with EE4. This suggests that EE3 was setup different than how it would be normally, it shouldn’t cause issues but highlights that EE3 was setup differently than expected.

So the first step I would take is to create a new checkout page, mainly just to remove all of that from the URL. By default on a new install (not a migration) EE creates a ‘Registration Checkout’ page so I’d suggest going with that.

Go to Dashboard -> Pages.

Create a new page and call it ‘Registration Checkout’

On that page add the [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] shortcode (Add the shortcode in ‘Text’ mode on the editor to prevent any styling wrapping around the shortcode if you copy and paste)

Next go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages.

Within there you’ll see something like this – http://take.ms/jDfJm

For ‘Registration Checkout Page’ select the next page you just created and save the settings.

Note this is unlikely to ‘fix’ the issue with that single event, but cleans up your registration steps.

So you mentioned the issue is with s specific event which I assume is this event:

http://ohhsinstrumentalmusic.com/events/clipper-thon-walk-run-4-health/

However that appears to be the only active event on your site currently:

http://ohhsinstrumentalmusic.com/events/

Have you removed the others?
