Hello! I’m having a strange issue where in the back end, all attendee answers are appearing as combinations of letters f, g, and d like a keyboard smash. However, the answers come through correct in emails and in the CSV export, so I guess it’s just a display issue, but still odd 🙂
If I make updates to the answers, it allows me, but when I hit save, it’s back to fgd again. It also defaults radio buttons and checkboxes to specific answers. Hi Lauren,
The fact that the Emails and CSV are showing the correct values would lead me to believe this is some rouge JavaScript running on your site.
If you edit the registration, view the custom questions, then refresh the page, do the original values show for a split second and then change? (It may be too quick to spot, or not even happen at all, but worth a quick check)

Hi Tony, I didn’t spot any flashes of the original values – the fgd values just flash black but then back to the uneditable grey. But if I change the answers to the original ones in 2 or more rounds (rather than updating all at once), the changes stay even with a page refresh, but if I reopen the registration from the registrations list, it’s back to fgd. Thanks for your prompt help!

Hmm, yeah that’s really strange.
Do you have any form of caching enabled on the site? If so disable it.
Can I take a look at one of the registrations doing this in the admin? I so you can send temporary login details using this form:
