Registration errors

People are getting this error when they try to purchase a ticket –
The following errors have occurred: An invalid registration was received. A valid Primary Registration for this Transaction could not be found.

It happened on 2 sites that we know of when people registered for a ticket. We’ve turned off cache for EE to see if it’ll help – but is this the way to resolve it? Will turning off cache make it run slower?

The caching can cause problems with the registration session maintaining state. Ideally the caching should only serve static pages (like an about page or any other page that displays information) to help speed up the site’s loading times. The dynamic pages (like a cart page or the registration checkout page) need to be served dynamically and not served as a cached file.
