Hi, we got a lot of complaints about receiving an error message after registration to our courses.

After breakdown of the complaints one group was due to the use of Super cache (found an answer in the forum). However we still had issues. It seems these only occur when people have a very long mail address.

At our intitution students tend to have an mail adress with 20-25 characters before @ and 32 characters after @. Can this be the problem? I only get errors now when using long mail addresses.

If so, how can we cope with this?

Cheers, Ron

Hi Ron,

That could indeed be an issue as the attendee email in the database only allows for 45 characters in total.

I cant see any errors coming up after registration, but they are not going to get an email from you that’s for sure as the email address gets clipped.

I will raise a developer ticket to look into that.

In the meantime you could modify the data base to increase the length, it will be in wp_events_attendee (wp may vary depending on your database prefix).
