I used the instructions to change my event author so that we could change the email where the registration and other emails go to. However once i changed this no emails showed up. I can see that they were sent in the messages panel and they show the right email in the TO: box. But there is nothing in the mailbox. Previously these sent to the old email just fine. is there something i am missing when switching email addresses?
It’s important to discern whether the emails are actually not getting sent, or if they’re actually getting sent, but not received. If you find that they are getting sent, can you check to see whether the emails are getting trapped in the spam folder?
In most cases, setting up a third party service to deliver email will resolve email delivery issues. The built-in mail servers (especially those that are used for shared hosting accounts) can be unreliable. We recommend using a service like Mandrill, Postmark, or any of the other services listed in our documentation for sending transactional email. More info here:
None of the test emails work, i can send a email from my gmail account and it works fine.
WP Mail Log shows that the test email is sent. Must be the mailbox. There is no way to adjust the spam filter for the basic Network Solutions email. ug.
