I had posted this before and made the changes that Lorenzo suggested but now, none of us are getting the email notifications when someone registers. << |
Hi Jason, before they were arriving to your personal email and now they aren’t arriving to the new email? Did you check the spam or junk mail folder for the new email account? — |
Thanks Lorenzo |
Hi Jason, could you install and activate the check email plugin and let us know if those test emails are received? https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/ One other question — is the email that is set in the organization setting screen on the same domain as the website or is it separate like a Gmail or Hotmail account? — |
I am having the same issue. The email is not the same domain but gmail. We’re not getting ANYthing, although the registrar is getting both confirmations. We desperately need to get this fixed as it’s keeping us from going live. We ran the mail check plugin and we got the tests. What else can I look into? Thank you SOOOO MUCH for all your excellent help and guidance. |
Hi Shelly, Can you go into edit the messages that get sent to the admin, and check the To: fields? What’s currently set for that field? |
Ok – well that explains it. It was empty. I am getting them now – but the email come without any description of what the person signed up for. I tried adding some shortcodes into the main body, then tried adding them to the other open fields(making sure I was using the right ones per section). I cannot get the event description & details to show up on this email…what am I missing? |
Hi Shelly, Can you let us know which shortcodes you tried? |
this is the short code I have now…nothing comes to our email. |

this is the short code I have now…nothing comes to our email.[CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL] |
oops forgot to paste..here it is [CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL] |
Hello again, some web hosts restrict their local mail server to only allow sending from that domain. For example, if your website was example.com, then you could only send from a hello@example.com email. Are either of you using a transactional email service such as Mandrill? These services will take over sending from the local email server. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ — |

Yes I’m using mandrill |
Hi Jason, wpMandril has an issue with using ‘Formatted’ emails within the ‘To’ field. One of our developers created a fix for this which is within our snippet library I have this already setup within a plugin which is available here – http://take.ms/E61lF Install that as a regular plugin, activate and retest. Or you can also change the shortcode that is in use from [CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL] to [CO_EMAIL] |
