Registration email sent to wrong email address

We have been getting registration emails to info@garagedoorstudio.com and suddenly, registration emails are being sent to my biz partner’s email. How do I make our info email the primary email again?

Hi there,

By default Event Espresso uses the email address of the user account set as event author so has the author been changed on your event?

Is it all registration emails or just the Registration Approved email?

Yes, my biz partner has started getting all the registration approved messages. I did not change the author. The only thing I did recently was change her password user admin status on WordPress, it seems that’s when this started happening.

Ok, go to Event Espreso -> Messages -> Defalt Message Templates.

Find ‘Registration Approved’ in the list and click on the ‘Edit Event Admin’.

What do you see in the TO field?

It says:

[EVENT_AUTHOR_FORMATTED_EMAIL]

Ok, so the messages are set to send to the event author, have you confirmed that the author is set to the correct user account?

Right now the event on your site is set to the users with an ID of 6.

You can check in the event editor, look for the ‘Author’ metabox, is that set to you or your business partner?

There is a change you can make to the messages system to prevent this from happening again if you prefer?

In short, you change the ‘To’ field to use [CO_EMAIL]

That will then always use whatever Email is set in Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Primary Contact Email so you just need to make sure that is set to the correct email address to use.

Then it doesn’t matter who creates your events, or who is set as the author later etc, it always just sends the emails to the address in general settings.
